E&CO awarded 184MW KIM Power Plant Project contract for Kawasan Industri Medan, Indonesia

KIM LNG Power plants to generate 184MW with 11set x 18V50DF Wartsila Engine.



JULY 28, 2017 - E&CO has been nominated a contract for 184MW KIM Power plant project in Medan with PT. Cahaya Sakti which is the Independent Power Producer in Indonesia. Power produced from the KIM power plant can be supplied to around three hundred thousand households simultaneously, which will ensure a stable supply to the industrial complex at Medan.


We have been highly praised for the proven quality of power plant construction technology and was awarded the contract after a fierce competition against prominent engineering, procurement and construction(EPC) company. E&CO successfully awarded the EPC contract, proving that the Korean power generation technology has become advanced and competitiveness in the global market.


The scope of work includes Civil work, Gas compression facilities, Utilities, Electric, Engine generator and Sub-stations for KIM power plant. With early engineering work already underway, the project will support to maintaining electric power supply for its sustainable Power supply capacity.


E&CO (CEO, Song, Byung-Geun) mentioned: “We are able to supply a wide range of technical support services from Feasibility Studies, Engineering, Procurement, Constructions and Commissioning as well as technical manpower supports. E&CO is focused on providing a world-class LNG Power plant for the Indonesia market with its consortium partner PT.Cayaha Sakti. Great synergies are expected from this project considering PT.Cayaha Sakti’s expertise in the Indonesia Power market.
