Completion of Engineering for Ammonia Demonstration Facility

In October 2025, E&CO Co., Ltd. successfully completed an engineering project for the retrofit of ammonia demonstration facility owned by Company S.
The primary objective of this project was to develop detailed P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) based on the client’s existing PFD (Process Flow Diagram) and H&MB (Heat & Material Balance), as well as to specify the technical requirements for equipment, valves, and instrumentation. E&CO also carried out 2D piping and equipment layout design, piping stress calculations, and 3D modeling, which was later integrated with the client’s existing 3D model.
Upon submission of the final deliverables, E&CO conducted a HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) to identify potential safety risks and operational issues. Following the review, the company delivered an updated P&ID reflecting both client-requested revisions and HAZOP findings.
The final engineering documents will serve as the foundation for the upcoming construction phase, which includes civil, electrical, and instrumentation work for the ammonia demonstration facility retrofit. Through this project, E&CO once again demonstrated its proven engineering capabilities in the field of ammonia fuel storage and supply systems.
2025년 10월 주식회사 이앤코가 S사의 암모니아 실증설비를 개조하기 위한 설계 용역을 완료했다. 이번 설계의 주요 목표는 고객사가 작성한 PFD 및 H&MB를 기반으로 P&ID 작성과 장비 및 밸브, 계장류의 사양을 선정하는 것이었다. 또한, 2D 파이프, 장비 레이아웃 설계와 Piping 강도 계산, 3D Modeling 작업도 수행하여 고객사에서 기존 3D Modeling과 병합을 완료했다.
최종 결과물 제출 후 시스템의 잠재적 위험요소와 운전 시 문제점 파악 및 사고를 예방하기 위한 HAZOP(Hazard and Operability Study, 위험성 평가)를 진행했으며, 고객사의 수정 요청사항과 위험성 평가 결과를 반영한 P&ID까지 제출했다. 작성 완료된 설계 도서를 바탕으로 토목, 전계장을 포함한 암모니아 실증설비 개조를 위한 공사가 착수될 예정이며, 이앤코는 이번 설계 작업을 통해 암모니아 연료 공급 및 저장 설비 분야에서 신뢰성 있는 설계 능력을 다시 한 번 입증했다.
