E&CO.,Ltd. Participates in Investment Briefing for the Egypt Suez Canal Green Energy Infrastructure Construction

On December 16, 2025, an investment briefing for the Egypt Suez Canal Green Energy Infrastructure Construction was held at Hotel P in Haeundae-gu, Busan. The event was hosted and organized by the Fire Insurers Laboratories of Korea (FILK) under the Korea Fire Protection Association (KFPA), with participating companies including Hyundai Corporation, E&CO.,Ltd. and others.
The project, launched in May 2024, aims to convert diesel-powered service vessels operating in the Suez Canal to low-carbon fuels (LNG) by establishing storage, supply, and operational training systems. E&CO.,Ltd. is responsible for the design of LNG bunkering facilities, development of a Fuel Gas Supply System (FGSS) for LNG ferries, supply of QCDC loading arms, as well as on-site piping and electrical work. In addition, the company will build training equipment to cultivate technical experts in LNG storage, transportation, supply, and safety management.
Now in its third year, the project includes the delivery and installation of LNG bunkering equipment at a site near Port Said owned by the Suez Canal Authority. Under E&CO’s supervision, facility installation will be completed and commissioned by next year. Furthermore, E&CO’s training systems will be deployed at the LNG Training Center under the Suez Canal Authority, where hands-on training will be conducted for system operation and maintenance. The center is expected to produce 100 certified professionals annually, including general facility managers, transportation facility operators, storage supervisors, and city gas safety officers.
Through this project, E&CO.,Ltd. aims to demonstrate their global competitiveness in FGSS and LNG bunkering infrastructure, solidifying their position as a leader in the eco-friendly energy onshore and offshore sector.
2025년 12월 16일 부산 해운대구 소재 P호텔에서 이집트 수에즈운하 그린에너지 인프라 구축 사업 투자기업 설명회가 개최됐다. 이번 설명회는 한국화재보험협회 방재시험연구원이 주최·주관했으며 현대코퍼레이션, 이앤코 외 참여기업들이 참석했다.
이 사업은 이집트 수에즈 운하 내 디젤연료 관리선박의 동력원을 저탄소 연료(LNG)로 전환하기 위해 2024년 5월 착수됐고, LNG 연료 저장, 공급, 운영 기술 보급 및 관리선박의 온실가스 배출 저감하는 것이 사업 목표이다. 당사는 LNG Bunkering 설비 설계를 시작으로, LNG Ferry용 연료공급 시스템 (Fuel Gas Supply System) 구축과 QCDC Loading Arm 공급, 그리고 현장 배관, 전기 공사를 담당하고 있으며, LNG 저장, 운송 및 공급, 안전관리 분야의 전문인력 배출을 위한 교육용 설비도 구축할 것이다.
사업은 3차년도에 접어들어 올해 이집트 포트사이드 시 근처 수에즈 운하 소유의 부지에 LNG 벙커링 기자재를 납품하여 설비 구축을 진행하고, 당사 감리 하에 내년까지 설치완료 후 시운전을 실시할 계획이다. 또한 당사가 제공하는 교육용 설비를 통해 수에즈운하 산하의 LNG Training Center에서는 장비 사용 및 유지보수 교육이 진행되고, 일반시설, 운반시설, 저장시설, 도시가스시설 안전관리자가 연간 100명씩 배출될 것으로 전망된다.
이앤코는 이번 사업에 참여하여 강점으로 하는 FGSS (Fuel Gas Supply System) 공급과 LNG Bunkering 분야에서의 경쟁력을 해외시장에서도 입증할 예정이다.
